The organization can count on a number of technical partners – Friulana Gas, Landi Renzo Group, Socogas, Sprint Gas, Tartarini Auto and Zannoni Carburanti – which have made available fuel and eco-friendly cars, locations and structures. Punto Gas and Slime are the suppliers of the antipuncture kits given to all the teams.
The competition, reserved exclusively for eco-friendly cars, is coherent with the innovative spirit of the events of automobile sports where, in the past as now, countless technical concepts are tested through these competitions. It welcomes operators from the automotive world, technical personel and drivers, but also enthusiasts of cars and the environment.
The competitors have to follow the Road Book, the book used traditionally in rallies, with symbols and drawings indicating the route and the trials, in practice a navigating tool on paper. The trials included timed departures and a series of controls measuring passage by means of pressure hoses connected to a stopwatch. In addition, at least four special trials have to be driven with a constant speed per hour with passages controlled secretly and readings by photocells. It is fundamental to arrive at the reasding points along the way at the exact arrival time set, applying the average speed indicated.
Alongside environmental sustainability is safety: The principle on which the regularity ecorallies are based is respect of the traffic code, and for this reason the competitions are held on roads that are open to traffic.
